Kun eläinten hyvinvointia täytyy tarkastella kokonaisuutena
Eläimen hyvinvointi ei ole vain yhden tekijän tulosta. Ympäristö, terveys, käyttäytyminen, sosiaaliset suhteet, koulutus ja ihmisten toimintatavat muodostavat eläimeen yhteisvaikutuksen.
Autan toimijoita tunnistamaan kokonaisuuden olennaiset kehityskohteet ja muuttamaan tutkimustiedon käytännön ratkaisuiksi.

Verna Vilppula, MSc
Taustani yhdistää eläinten käyttäytymis- ja hyvinvointitieteen, tutkimustyön sekä pitkän käytännön kokemuksen eläinalalta.
Olen työskennellyt Helsingin yliopiston Hevosten Interaktio -tutkimushankkeessa (kuva) ja kouluttanut eläinten käyttäytymisestä ja hyvinvoinnista yliopistoissa, oppilaitoksissa ja eläinalan organisaatioissa.
